The European Bowling Federation has announced the host of the 2029 European Women’s Championship.

Due to schedule adjustments, the next European Women’s Championship will take place in 2029 instead of 2028, moving away from the usual two-year cycle.

At the moment, Europe’s best women bowlers are competing in Denmark, where the 2026 European Women’s Championship has already produced several medal stories. Sweden’s Nora Johansson defended her singles gold, Emma Palermaa and Sanna Oksanen won doubles gold for Finland, and Germany’s Saskia Malz, Laura Beuthner and Birgit Noreiks won Trios gold after defeating host nation Denmark in the final.

Now, the focus has also turned to the future.

The European Bowling Federation has confirmed that the 2029 European Women’s Championship will be held in Sweden. The event is scheduled for June 13-23, 2029, at Olympia Bowling in Helsingborg.

It will be the first senior European Championship held in Sweden since 1998, when the European Team Championships were played at Baltiska bowling hall.

Helsingborg already has a strong history of hosting major international bowling events. Olympia Bowling hosted the U21 World Cup in 2022 and the IBF Youth World Cup in 2025. The venue is also home to the Storm Lucky Larsen Masters, the only PBA Tour event held outside the United States.

That event will return to Olympia Bowling this year as well, with the 2026 Storm Lucky Larsen Masters scheduled for August 21-31.
