Denmark has named eight bowlers for the 2026 IBF World Cup, which will bring leading national teams to Max Munich Bowling in Brunnthal, Germany, from October 13–21.
The women’s team consists of Karen Kærgaard Nielsen, Megan Dicay, Mika Guldbæk and Sofie Kærgaard Nielsen. John Guldbæk will lead the team, with Jimmy D. Mortensen serving as assistant coach.
Carsten W. Hansen, Dan Agerbo Østergaard, Mathias Ankerdal and Tim Stampe will represent Denmark in the men’s competition. Michael Bai and Jesper Agerbo make up the men’s coaching team.
Denmark’s women arrive with fresh international success behind them. All four selected players were part of the Danish team that won bronze at the 2026 European Women’s Championships. Karen Kærgaard Nielsen also earned singles bronze, while she joined Sofie Kærgaard Nielsen and Mika Guldbæk for silver in trios.
According to IBF, 284 athletes will represent their countries in Munich. 45 federations are sending men's teams, while 26 federation built their roster for women’s competition.
Official practice and the opening ceremony are scheduled for October 13.
The singles competition will follow from October 14–17, before attention
turns to the men’s and women’s team events from October 18–21. The final
champions will be crowned on October 21.
