Verity Crawley will be back on the lanes after nearly three months away from PWBA Tour competition.
The English bowler has returned for the final stretch of the 2026 season at Yorktown Lanes in Parma Heights, Ohio, where PWBA Tour Championship Week will bring the season to a close with three events.
Crawley had been sidelined since May after suffering a stress fracture in her right shin.
She first felt pain during match play at the USBC Queens. After returning to Florida, X-rays revealed the injury, forcing her to withdraw from the PWBA Summer Series, Barbara Chrisman Classic, U.S. Women's Open and SABC Mixed Doubles.
Crawley took part in Tuesday's official practice session at Yorktown Lanes and confirmed that she will compete in the PWBA Cleveland Open, which begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. Eastern.
"No matter what, simply just grateful I get to finish off the season," Crawley said. "Not the journey I expected this year, but here we are."
Players will bowl two six-game qualifying blocks on Wednesday, with the top 12 advancing to two six-game rounds of round-robin match play on Thursday. The top five after match play will advance to the stepladder finals at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
The Cleveland Open is only the first of three tournaments during PWBA Tour Championship Week.
The PWBA Pepsi Open follows on Aug. 14-15.
The season will then finish with another major title on the line - the PWBA Tour Championship - from Aug. 16-18.
Only 24 players will qualify for the final major of the season, with the field consisting of 2026 tournament winners and the highest-ranked players in season points after the Pepsi Open.
The top five after three eight-game match-play blocks will advance to the final stepladder of the season.
All three events will be shown live on BowlTV, with the Tour Championship stepladder finals also airing on Bowling TV as one of three major live bowling events they landed for their channel this summer.
