After 20 years competing at the highest level, one of France’s best bowlers, Solène Goron, has announced her retirement from the French women’s national team.
“This adventure has brought me a lot, both in a sports and a human level. She allowed me to grow, have unforgettable experiences, and meet beautiful people,” Goron wrote on social media.
Over two decades, Goron became one of the strongest names in the country’s bowling history and still remains one of the role models for the next generation.
She won more than 20 French championship titles and became European mixed doubles champion together with Maxime Dubois at the 2025 European Championship of Champions.
The 2026 European Women’s Championship in Denmark was the final chapter of her time representing the French national team.
