More than 90 young bowlers from 13 countries have already made plans for the last weekend of November. They’re heading to France for BowlingGP NextGen Saint-Maximin on November 28–29, and there’s still room on the lanes for a few more. Entries are open on Bowl4U.
We are also going. We’ve love to cover BowlingGP and seeing young bowlers get a proper moment on the podium. We’ve seen the lights, the confetti and the fireworks behind the winners.
But there’s a good reason to pack the bowling bags even before Sunday’s trophies come into it. At Bowling Plaza Saint-Maximin Creil, every player gets two qualifying blocks against an international field.
What the €130 entry gets you
Both blocks are included in the entry fee. Most bowlers play 12 games, while U11 entrants play 10. The lanes are freshly oiled for each block, so players can take what they learned in their first block and try a different line or ball the next time out.
There are four titles on offer. U14 boys and girls bowl together, with U11 players joining that division. Older boys compete in separate U17 and U21 groups, while U17 and U21 girls share one field.

Sunday comes down to one pair of lanes
Qualifying rewards the bowlers who can put two good blocks together. Then the format changes. The semifinalists go head-to-head in round-robin match play, with four bowlers in each division earning a place in Sunday’s Final4.
Then, four players take to one pair. After one game, three are still standing. After the next, just two. The scores go back to zero each time, so the bowler who squeezed through by a pin has just as much chance of lifting the trophy as the one who led all weekend.
There’s €12,000 in trophies and prizes across the tournament. All four divisions receive the same awards, with a trophy and prizes worth €1,000 for each winner.
See the available squads and register for BowlingGP NextGen Saint-Maximin. The €130 fee covers both blocks, and the organiser confirms your place once payment arrives.
