PWBA Player of the Year Race Set for a Wild Finish in Cleveland

The 2026 PWBA Tour season is down to its final week, but the Player of the Year race is still wide open.

2025 PWBA Player of the Year New Hui Fen currently leads the standings with 73,400 points, but Malaysia’s Sin Li Jane is only 2,400 points behind with 71,000.

Jordan Snodgrass sits third with 65,550 points, while 2025 PWBA Tour Championship winner Shannon Pluhowsky remains within reach in fourth place with 62,345.

With three tournaments still to be played, there is plenty of room for the standings to change.

The first opportunity comes this week at the PWBA Cleveland Open.

Competition begins Wednesday with two six-game qualifying blocks. The top 12 players will advance to two rounds of round-robin match play on Thursday, with the top five moving on to the stepladder finals later that evening.

The PWBA Pepsi Open follows on Aug. 14-15, with two qualifying rounds before the top 16 advance into a single-elimination bracket.

After that event, the field will be set for the final major of the season, the PWBA Tour Championship from Aug. 16-18.

Only 24 players will compete in the Tour Championship, with the field made up of tournament winners from the 2026 season and the highest-ranked players in season points after the Pepsi Open.

All three events will be shown live on BowlTV, with the Tour Championship stepladder finals also airing on Bowling TV as one of three major live bowling events the channel will carry this summer.
