The 2025 European Men’s Bowling Championships came to a close in Aalborg with Sweden’s Robin Ilhammar claiming the final gold medal of the week — and doing so in his debut appearance at the European Men's Championships.
Ilhammar dominated the Masters event, sweeping France’s Maxime Dubois 2–0 in the final with games of 238–215 and 234–233. It was a clean run through the knockout rounds for the Swedish two-hander, who knocked out Germany’s Tobias Börding 2–1 in the opening round, then defeated Denmark’s Mathias Grønne Ankerdal 2–0, and finally Finland’s Luukas Väänänen 2–0 in the semifinal.

Bronze medals in the Masters went to Väänänen and Denmark’s Tim Stampe.
This Masters win marked Sweden’s second medal of the championships, following their silver in the 5-man team event.
The day before, Team Denmark took gold in the Team event, beating Sweden 916–873 in the final. The win gave Denmark their second gold of the championship, while Sweden claimed a long-awaited podium finish after a slow start to the week. Greece and Italy took bronze.
Also announced after the Team event were the All-Event medalists.
With six games to go, French bowlers held the top three positions, but Italy’s Antonino Fiorentino — already a Singles gold medalist — surged ahead with a strong showing in the Team event to claim All-Event gold. France’s Maxime Dubois secured silver, while his teammate Gaëtan Mouveroux earned bronze.
The Masters final officially closed out the 2025 European Men’s Bowling Championships. Across Singles, Doubles, Trios, Team, and Masters, the medals were spread among seven nations — Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, and Romania.
