Norway Claims Gold in Girls' Doubles at European Youth Bowling Championships 2025

The Girls’ Doubles event wrapped up today with Emilie Marie Aas and Madelen Thorsrudhagen Danielsen from Norway taking the top spot after a strong showing in the finals.

Another day, another gold for Norway at the European Youth Bowling Championships 2025 in Samsun, Turkey. The Girls’ Doubles event wrapped up today with Emilie Marie Aas and Madelen Thorsrudhagen Danielsen from Norway taking the top podium after a strong showing in the finals.

This marks the second gold medal for Danielsen, who also won the Girls’ Singles title earlier in the week.

In the final, the Norwegian duo scored a combined 405 to defeat Greece's Artemis Manthou and Alexandra Giannadaki, who finished with 378. Danielsen and Aas were consistent under pressure, sealing the win with two solid games of 203 and 202.

Earlier in the semifinals, Greece earned their place in the final by defeating Finland's Neea Pöllänen and Emma Palermaa 380–355. Norway advanced with a dominant 456–407 win over England's Avan Rhodes and Chloe Birch, highlighted by games of 232 and 224 from Aas and Danielsen, respectively.
