The Women’s Elitserien returned after the winter break with five matches
across Sweden.
BK Merci picked up a crucial win in Hässleholm to
solidify their playoff position, AIK BK D made a statement in the Stockholm
derby, while league leaders Spader Dam and Team X-Calibur both handled
business on Sunday.
Saturday Matches Overview
BK Eva, Stockholm – BK Prime Sthlm 5–15
Prime Sthlm opened their weekend with a commanding performance against BK Eva. After three straight 4–1 series wins, the match was decided at 12–3. Prime kept the pressure on to complete a 15–5 victory.
Annika Kilander (837), Annika Grönvall (808), and Helene Fischbach (800) led the scoring for Prime, while Cecilia Solen (837) and Lena Sulkanen (828) were solid for Eva.
BS Hässle – BK Merci 7–13
BK Merci kicked off 2026 with an important away win in a battle between two playoff hopefuls. After edging the first series 3–2, Merci dominated the second with a clean 5–0 sweep, then added another 3–2 win in third series. Home team took the win in the fourth series, but the Örebro team celebrated crucial away victory.
Christina Kiiskinen led Merci with 883, backed by Emilia Kiiskinen’s 810. Anelia Andersson posted 809 for Hässle.
AIK BK D – BK Prime Sthlm 16–4
Later that evening, Prime Sthlm ran into a red-hot AIK squad in the Stockholm derby. AIK jumped out to a 9–1 lead after two games and then sealed the match with a 3–2 win in the third series. It was a dominant display from start to finish, as AIK continued their strong season with a 16–4 victory.
Nicole Layrisse was the standout with 963, while Annie Kahlbom added 838. Prime’s top performer was Anna Staflund with 835.
Sunday Matches Recap
Spader Dam – BK Merci 13–7
After a strong Saturday, BK Merci ran into a tough opponent on Sunday – league leaders Spader Dam. But Spader Dam showed no 'merci' this time. They started the match with 4–1 and 5–0, then added 3–2 win in game three. Merci took the last game with a 4–1 win, but the match was already decided.
Nora Johansson starred with 996 and won all four points in tandem with Anna Andersson (897). Emma Mewén led Merci with 833.
BK Högland – Team X-Calibur BK 3–17
In the last game of the weekend, Team X-Calibur showed no signs of rust after a long Christmas break as they dominated Högland from the opening frames.
Playing on neutral ground in Borås, the Partille team won all four games and swept the opening and closing series, securing a decisive 3–17 victory.
Ottilia Gunnarsson delivered a standout 986, while Kajsa Samuelsson followed
with 912. Högland’s Rebecka Larsen (885) and Maria Fridell (857) were the
bright spots for the home side.
