Sweden's William Svensson claimed victory at the FM Mattsson Christmas Tournament, held at Mora Parken Bowling in Sweden.
In a nail-biting final, Svensson narrowly defeated fellow Swede Robin Ilhammar with a close score of 212–209. Leading for most of the championship match, Svensson faced a tense moment after a split in the 9th frame, keeping the audience captivated. The total score was determined by combining the scores from the final steps (4, 5, and 6), where Svensson recorded 197 and 238, while Ilhammar posted 203 and 216. Svensson needed two strikes in the 10th frame—and he delivered, securing the tournament title by just 19 pins.
Emanuel Jonsson finished third, while Filip Wilhelmsson ended in fourth.
Svensson's impressive performance earned him the grand prize of €2,600 in an event featuring a total prize fund of €17,000.
135 competitors took part in this year's tournament.
