Two matches took place in the men's Elitserien on Saturday.

Bodens BS - Team Clan Nässjö BK 10-10

A thrilling battle between Bodens BS and Team Clan ended in a 10-10 draw after a dramatic final series. Boden started strong, taking narrow 3-2 wins in each of the first three series to build a 9-6 lead. However, Clan turned up the pressure in the last series, securing a crucial 4-1 win to force the draw. Host team's Philip Strandgren (941) delivered the standout moment of the match with a perfect 300 game, while Bodens’ Emil Holmgren (984) and Clan's Alexander Tigerstrand (984) led the scoring for their respective teams.

IKW/Köping BK - IS Göta 13-7

While many IS Göta bowlers competed in the PBA World Series of Bowling XVI, with Rasmus Edvall winning his first PBA Tour title yesterday, IKW/Köping BK secured an important 13-7 home victory against IS Göta after a dominant start. The home team took control early, racing to a 9-1 lead after two series. Although Göta mounted a late push, winning three of the last five points, it was not enough to overturn the deficit. Ossian Kinnari led the charge for Köping with a 992 series, while Anton Andersson topped Göta’s scores with 943.

Västerås SK - IS Göta 11-9

On Sunday, Västerås SK pulled off another massive upset against IS Göta with an 11-9 victory in a crucial match. Västerås started strong, jumping to an 8-2 lead, capitalizing on their home advantage. Göta fought back in the final series, winning 4-1, but fell just short of forcing a tie. Eric Nordström and Tommy Sarlin played key roles in Västerås’ win, securing all four of their lane points and scoring 913 and 835, respectively.

Team Alingsås - BK Full House 14-6

Team Alingsås continued their strong form at home with a 14-6 victory over BK Full House. The home team controlled the match from the beginning, leading 11-4 after three series and never allowing their opponents to close the gap. James Blomgren starred for Alingsås with a brilliant 1034 series, supported by Albin Lindberg (974) and Rickard Dahllöf (913).

Later that day, Team Pergamon showed their championship quality once again, securing a convincing 14-5 win against BK Full House. Markus Jansson rolled a perfect 300 game, finishing with a 918 series, while Albin Gullstrand (997) and Oliver Dahlgren (962) added strong performances.

Juho Vuoppola Wins Berlin City Open 2025

Juho Vuoppola from Finland won the Berlin City Open 2025 on Sunday evening at City Bowling Hasenheide in Berlin, Germany. The Finnish bowler secured the title by defeating Germany’s Laura Beuthner in a two-game final with a total score of 494 to 435.Vuoppola took the lead early in the final match with a strong 269–234 victory in the first game. He followed up with a 225–215 win in the second game, sealing the overall result in his favor. To reach the final, Vuoppola defeated Lukáš Jelínek from the Czech Republic 424-369 (232-176, 192-193) in the semifinal round. On the other side of the bracket, Laura Beuthner advanced to the final after beating fellow German bowler Paul Purps 436-430 (195-238, 225-192). The 2025 PBA Sweden tour continues this August as the third stop, the PBA Sweden Badger Stockholm Open, heads to New Bowl Center Gullmarsplan from August 8 to 10. This event follows two exciting tournaments in Jönköping and Eskilstuna that kicked off the four-part series. At the opening stop in February, Pontus Andersson took home the title at the Chameleon Jönköping Open. He delivered a dominant performance in the stepladder finals, defeating Albin Lindberg 258–199. With this win, Andersson earned an international invitation to the 2026 PBA World Series of Bowling and secured a place in Final Step 1 of the 2025 Storm Lucky Larsen Masters. Robin Ilhammar Wins 10th Brunswick Madrid Challenge in Spain

Sweden’s Robin Ilhammar continued his incredible summer run by winning the 10th Brunswick Madrid Challenge, held July 5–13, 2025, in Madrid, Spain.Ilhammar defeated Czech Republic’s Lukáš Jelínek 245–222 in the final match to secure the title, adding to his recent victories at the IBF World Cup and the European Men’s Championships Masters event. At the end of May, Ilhammar also won the Kegel Aalborg International Open in Denmark. There, Ilhammar delivered four consistent and high-scoring games - 258, 252, 256, and 237 - to claim the top seed for the stepladder finals. Earlier in the semifinal, Lukáš Jelínek edged out Spain’s Michael Piccari 214–211 before facing Ilhammar in the championship match. Endrina Bracuto of Venezuela won the women's competition.
