Sweden has announced its selected squad for the 2026 European Youth Championships, set to take place in Berlin from March 28 to April 6.
The team was chosen by national coach Amanda Andersson and features both returning players and championship debutants.
The girls’ team includes Elin Bergqvist, Saga Johansson, Elissa Mehmet, and Lova Nilsson. Bergqvist, Mehmet, and Nilsson bring experience from previous international events, while Johansson will compete in her first official youth championship.
On the boys’ side, Sweden will be represented by Noel Haglund Torgersen, Erik Larsson, Felix Möller, and Philip Strandgren. All four will make their European Youth Championships debut, though they have already competed internationally.
The coaching staff will again be led by Amanda Andersson, assisted by Robin Skans and Pontus Svensson. The team will hold joint preparation sessions ahead of the championship.
The European Youth Championships 2026 will take place in Berlin from March 28 to April 6, 2026, bringing together the continent’s top junior talent for ten days of high-level competition over the Easter period.
The tournament will be hosted at City Bowling Hasenheide, one of Berlin’s premier bowling centers.
National teams from across Europe will compete in singles, doubles, team, and
masters events.
In the 2025 championships in Turkey, Alexandra Giannadaki of Greece and Timéo Dujardin of France won the Masters titles. Sweden did not field a team at the Junior European Championships last year.
