Sweden has announced its national team for the upcoming European Women's Bowling Championships 2026, which will take place in Odense, Denmark, from June 12 to June 20.
The team will feature Anna Andersson, Hanna Engberg, Nora Johansson, Victoria Johansson, Josefin Hermansson, and Ottilia Gunnarsson.
Gunnarsson will make her senior championship debut. She previously competed at the 2022 World Youth Championships in Helsingborg, where she won a bronze medal in the team event.
The remaining five players bring experience from previous international championships and have been part of Sweden’s recent success at European Women's Championships.
At the 2022 European Women’s Championships in Denmark, Sweden claimed 14 of the 17 available medals. Two years later in France, Sweden continued that success by winning medals in every discipline, including gold in Singles, All-Event, Masters, and Team.
According to coach Robert Andersson, the team has shown strong form in recent competitions and enters the championship prepared for the challenge ahead.
"We have a strong team for the European Championship. The players feel in good shape and have been responsible for good competition results recently."
The European Women's Bowling Championships 2026 will be held at Odense
Bowling Center from June 12 to June 20, bringing together national teams from across Europe to
compete in singles, doubles, trios, team, all-event, and masters disciplines.
