After two days of competition at the 2025 European Senior Bowling Championships, Sweden and Denmark won gold medals in the Teams of Four competition.
Sweden's Johan Åberg, Magnus Lindqvist, Martin Paulsson, and Peter Hellström claimed the Men's Team gold after defeating Italy's national team in the finals with a final score of 851-813. Earlier, Sweden had crushed Finland in the semifinals 924-636, while Italy defeated England 827-810.

Meanwhile, in the Women's competition, Denmark's Malene Foldager Andersen, Lone Toft Thomsen, Heidi Glud Guldbæk, and Pia Grønne Burkal took the lead from start to finish, qualifying as the No. 1 seed. They defeated Belgium in the semifinals 705-627 and then Italy in the finals 768-740, after Italy had previously defeated host nation Germany in the semifinals 729-689.

The Men’s and Women’s Masters competition kick off tomorrow. This will mark the end of the 2025 European Senior Bowling Championships in Germany.
The European Senior Bowling Championships 2025 is being held in Leipzig, Germany, from January 24 to February 2, 2025. The championship features four competition categories: Singles, Doubles, Teams, and Masters.
A total of 98 female athletes and 108 male athletes are expected to compete in the event.
