The title match was decided in the final frame. Oksanen had the lead going into the 10th frame and needed a strike on his first shot for a win. His shot went high and left 3 pin standing, giving Purps a chance to win the match.

Purps needed a double in the final frame, and he delivered both strikes and completed the comeback to take the title.

Purps had started the final stages from 15th place after qualification. He then advanced through three final steps to reach the championship match.

The tournament was held at the newly renovated Løvvang Bowling Center, which will host another major European event later this year.

The Brunswick Euro Challenge is scheduled to return to Aalborg from August 8-16, 2026, at the same venue. The winner will receive €10,000, and the event prize fund will be at least €70,000.

Registration for the Brunswick Euro Challenge is already open, with nearly 250 players registered.

The event is one of the major stops on the European bowling calendar and will bring another large international field to Løvvang Bowling Center in August.
