Parker Bohn III Nearly Breaks Record, Leads Super Senior Classic

Parker Bohn III took the early lead at the 2026 USBC Super Senior Classic on Thursday at Sam’s Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas. The 62-year-old finished the first round with 1,529 for six games.

His total was the third-highest six-game block in tournament history and was only 10 pins short of the event record.

Bohn started the day with games of 268, 246 and 279 for a 793 series. He then added 262, 226 and 248 to finish the round with a 254.8 average.

The USBC and PBA Hall of Famer leads Charles Moore of Paris, Texas, by 74 pins after the opening round.

Moore is currently second with 1,455. Finland’s Timo Raatikainen is third with 1,448. Joe Fullner III is fourth with 1,420, and John Marsala is fifth with 1,410.

Defending champion James Campbell is tied for 24th after the first round with 1,333.

Competition continues Friday with the second round of qualifying.

After 12 games of qualifying, the top 52 players will advance to Saturday’s cashers’ round.

The advancers will bowl six more games Saturday. After 18 total games, the top 12 players will move into match play.

The match-play field will be split into two groups. Odd seeds will bowl in one group, while even seeds will bowl in the other. Each player will bowl six head-to-head matches, including a final position round. Each win will be worth 30 bonus pins.

After match-play, the top player in each group will advance directly to Sunday’s main stepladder finals. The player with the highest total will be the No. 1 seed, while the other group winner will be the No. 2 seed.

The second-, third- and fourth-place players in each group will still have a chance to reach the main stepladder through a group stepladder on Sunday.

The winner of the 2026 USBC Super Senior Classic will earn $8,000.
