Malta’s Sue Abela, continued her strong 2024 season by winning her third International Senior's Bowling Tour title at the Flanders Open in Deurne, Belgium.
Abela impressed from start to finish. She qualified in second place with a score of 1,366 across six games, then powered through the semi-finals. Her four-game score of 969 secured her the top seed for the finals, where she led a strong field that included Belgian players Linda Van Kerckhove, Vanessa Vissenberg, and Veronique Perniaux.
In the finals, the top six bowlers faced off in head-to-head matches with 20 bonus points awarded for each win.
Abela won every match and took the championship title. Inge Hazeleger from the Netherlands finished in second, and Martina Beckel from Germany placed third.
