The European Bowling Tour continues this week with the prestigious Kegel Aalborg International 2025 in Aalborg, Denmark. This popular EBF Gold event has officially begun, drawing elite players from across Europe.

After two completed squads, Denmark’s Mathias Ankerdal is setting the pace with a total of 1324 and an impressive 220.7 average. Close behind are Dan Østergaard-Poulsen with 1273 (212.2 average) and Bjørn Saksager Jensen with 1251 (208.5 average), making it a strong Danish showing early in the tournament.
The competition format includes a six-game qualification series, with 34 players advancing to the finals. In addition, four players will qualify via turbo scores—two from the fourth and sixth games, and two female bowlers from the third and fifth games. The finals will also include the two highest-ranked women not yet qualified and eight additional players from the semifinals, bringing the total to 48 finalists.
The semifinal round is scheduled for Saturday, 24 May, where 24 bowlers will compete in four groups over three games. The top two players from each group will move on to the finals.

Alongside the main event, the EBT Masters 2025 will be held on Wednesday, 21 May. The format features an eight-game qualification round, followed by a four-game final. The total pinfall from all 12 games will determine the champions.
