Masters Champions Crowned at European Youth Bowling Championships 2025

The final day of the European Youth Bowling Championships 2025 in Samsun, Turkey concluded with the Masters competition, where the top 16 boys and girls faced off in head-to-head match play. After a full week of team and individual competition, the spotlight turned to the bowlers’ ability to perform under pressure — and two new champions were crowned.

Boys’ Masters: Gold for France’s Timeo Dujardin

France’s Timeo Dujardin claimed the Boys’ Masters title with an impressive run through the final rounds. After advancing through the knockout stages, he reached the semifinals where he defeated Malta’s Kayden Lagana’ in two straight games (247–186, 235–208).

In the second semifinal, David Giantomassi of Italy came from behind to overcome Charlie Upton of England in a best-of-three battle (224–227, 245–169, 236–191).

In the final, Dujardin showed complete control. He outscored Giantomassi 211–182 in the first game and sealed the victory with a standout 276 in Game 2, earning the Masters gold medal for France.

Boys’ Masters Medalists

Girls’ Masters: Alexandra Giannadaki Makes History for Greece

In the Girls’ Masters bracket, Alexandra Giannadaki delivered a historic win for Greece, becoming the first EYC Masters champion from her country.

She defeated Germany’s Fiona Lindemann in the semifinal with games of 215 and 205, advancing in straight sets. In the other semifinal, England’s Avan Rhodes pulled off a major upset, eliminating top seed Emma Palermaa of Finland in three games (220–159, 181–203, 224–145).

The final between Giannadaki and Rhodes went the distance. Giannadaki narrowly lost Game 1 174-176, responded with a win in Game 2 189-179, and closed it out with a strong 216–193 in Game 3 to secure the Masters gold.

Girls’ Masters Medalists

  • Gold: Alexandra Giannadaki (Greece)

  • Silver: Avan Rhodes (England)

  • Bronze: Fiona Lindemann (Germany), Emma Palermaa (Finland)
