The European Championship of Champions 2025 is approaching, and one of the most anticipated details for bowlers has finally been confirmed – the official oil pattern.

The event will be held from 22 to 25 October 2025 at Plus Bowling Center in Vienna, Austria, bringing together national champions from across Europe.

Organized by the European Bowling Federation (EBF), the tournament is open exclusively to the reigning national champions of each federation.

The official lane condition for this year’s championship will feature a 42-foot oil pattern with a 2.98:1 ratio and 27.4 milliliters of oil.

The event is structured with separate men’s and women’s divisions, each athlete bowling 24 qualifying games divided into three 8-game blocks. One of these blocks will be played as Mixed Doubles, and medals will be awarded based on total scores from that block.

Following qualifying, the top 12 bowlers in each division will advance to Final Step 1 for eight additional games, with scores carried forward. The top four will then proceed to head-to-head semifinals (1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3). Winners will meet in a best-of-three match to decide the 2025 European Championship of Champions titles.
