The 2025 Dutch National Bowling Championships have new and familiar names at the top. Jord van Weeren and Samantha Greiner were crowned national champions after exciting final matches in the Netherlands.
Jord van Weeren successfully defended his title for the third year in a row. In the men's final, he faced Mark Jacobs. After losing the first game 242-249, Jord came back strong, winning the next two games 222-213 and 248-197 to take the title once again. This win ties him with Dutch bowling legend Michael Sasse, who also won three straight titles from 1994 to 1997.
In the women’s division, Samantha Greiner claimed her first national title after a thrilling match against Nicole Sanders. Like Jord, Samantha lost the first game 177-194 but bounced back with scores of 213-192 and 219-172 to win the championship.
Samantha's victory is special for another reason—it puts her alongside her mother, Roos Greiner, one of the most respected names in Dutch bowling. Roos won the Open Dutch Championships in 1984-85 and 1985-86, and was national champion three times in the 1990s and early 2000s.
