The 56th Brunswick Ballmaster Open continued on Saturday at Tali Bowling Hall in Helsinki, with squads 3 and 4 completing the second day of qualification play.
Another full day on the demanding Brunswick Ballmaster Open oil pattern produced strong scoring at the top of the standings. But despite strong performances from more than 100 players, Joonas Jehkinen stayed on top after four squads and remains the only bowler so far to break the symbolic 1400 total mark.
Squad 3 Overview
Squad 3 saw Tomas Tissarinen take control early and finish on top of the group with a six-game total of 1389, averaging 231.50. He held off Petteri Salonen, who stayed close throughout the block and finished second with 1376. Pyry Puharinen secured third place with 1328.
Justin Bohn and Robin Miklas shared fourth and fifth place, both posting totals of 1297. Santeri Pulkkinen followed with 1284, while Timo Raatikainen ended the squad on 1281. Simon Tissarinen, Panu Nurmilo, and Emanuel Jonsson completed the top ten.
Squad 4 Overview
Squad 4 was led by Linus Boström, who delivered a consistent performance to finish first with a total of 1377 and an average of 229.50. Pyry Puharinen placed second with 1323. Emanuel Jonsson took third place with 1293, while Markus Lahti followed closely on 1289. Jonne Kaisku rounded out the top five with 1280.
Kert Truus finished sixth on 1236, with Henrik Juotaniemi next at 1209. Tomi Honkonen, Marek Tammsoo, and Tiiamari Laukkanen completed the top ten for the squad.

The tournament resumes tomorrow with squad 5 at 11AM local. The second squad of
the day is scheduled to begin at 3PM.

thoughout qualification. The tournament runs from January 2 to January 11.
After the qualification rounds, 48 bowlers will advance to the finals. The top 38 players in the overall standings will qualify directly, while the remaining 10 places will be decided through additional qualification paths - early bird and desperado.
