
The Czech Bowling Association has announced the Players of the Year for 2024.
Lukáš Jelínek from Xbowling Club in Prague was named the best male bowler for the second time. Jelínek achieved multiple successes in 2024, including third place at the Junior U21 World Cup, as well as gold and bronze medals at the U21 World Championships in Korea. He also became the first Czech player to qualify for the EBT Masters final, where he finished third, and earned his second individual title on the European Bowling Tour.
Among the women, Zuzana Kvasničková, the national U18 champion from JKM Bowling Prague, was named Bowler of the Year. She earned a silver medal in pairs at the European Youth Championships and advanced to the Masters at the European Women's Championships.
The Team of the Year award went to the Czech youth team, which defended its U21 champions title at the World Youth Championships in Incheon, Korea. The team, consisting of Jaroslav Zapletal, Ondřej Trojek, Ondřej Prekop, and Lukáš Jelínek, defeated the United States in the final.
Jaroslav Zapletal was named the Best Youth Player of the Year after winning gold and bronze in U21 team competition and silver in Boys’ Teams at the European Youth Championships.
The Youth Player of the Year on the women's side was Ema Iwazawa from JKM Bowling, the national U15 champion and silver medalist in Doubles at the European Youth Championships.
