Close and Henderson Claim Intercollegiate Singles Championships Titles

The 2026 Intercollegiate Singles Championships came to a close Saturday at The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with Tyler Close of St. Ambrose winning the men’s title and Dannielle Henderson of Vanderbilt taking the women’s title.

The championship rounds were taped for later broadcast on CBS Sports Network . The women’s finals will air on Tuesday, April 21, at 7 p.m. Eastern, while the men’s finals will be shown on Tuesday, April 28, at 9:30 p.m. Eastern.

Tyler Close Wins Men’s ISC 2026 Title

In the men’s division, no one came close to Close. The two-handed righty secured the national title with two wins on the final day. He started with a 217-164 victory over Kaeden White of Midland in the semifinal and then defeated Landin Jordan of Savannah College of Art and Design - Savannah 200-176 in the final.

Jordan advanced to the title match by defeating Nate Trentler of Calumet 191-177 in the other semifinal.

Close’s win added another major result for St. Ambrose, which also captured the men’s team title later the same day.

Dannielle Henderson Wins Women’s ISC 2026 Title

In the women’s division, Henderson won two matches to become the 2026 Intercollegiate Singles Championships champion. She opened the stepladder finals with a 205-167 win over Kaitlyn Stull of Jacksonville State in the semifinal.

In the other semifinal, Katarina Hagler of Pikeville defeated Gianna Brandolino of Jacksonville State 207-192 to move into the title match.

In the championship match, Henderson completed her run with a 200-175 victory over Hagler.
