Alexis Runk won her first career PWBA title on Saturday at the 2026 PWBA Pepsi Open, defeating Stephanie Zavala 223-211.
After leading Friday’s qualifying, Runk entered the single-elimination bracket as the No. 1 seed. She survived a five-game opening match against Breanna Clemmer, winning 3-2, before defeating Maranda Pattison 3-1 in the quarterfinals.
The format then shifted from best-of-five matches to single games. Zavala reached the final with a 247-178 win over Hope Gramly, while Runk defeated Diana Zavjalova 225-189 in the other semifinal.
The season-ending PWBA Tour Championship, where all 10 eligible winners will
be joined by 14 players who qualified through the season points list, begins
Sunday with the first of three eight-game match-play rounds at 5 p.m. Eastern.
Two more rounds follow Monday at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern, with the top five
after 24 games advancing to Tuesday’s stepladder finals at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
