If you live outside Sweden, you have probably never heard of Partille - a small municipality just outside Gothenburg.

But after this weekend, you might want to remember it, as Partille can proudly call itself the home of Sweden’s best bowling teams.

On Sunday, both Swedish Championship titles went to Partille clubs, as Team X-Calibur won the women’s final and Team Pergamon BC captured the men’s title at Nyköping Superbowl.

X-Calibur ended several years of final frustration against Spader Dam, while Pergamon reclaimed the men’s title after defeating Team Alingsås to win the club’s 17th Swedish Championship gold.

X-Calibur Ends Spader Dam Run to Win Women’s Title

Team X-Calibur BK became the 2026 Swedish women’s champion after defeating Spader Dam in the final.

X-Calibur had lost several finals in recent years against the Helsingborg team, but this time, the Partille side found a way to turn the final in their favor and claim the gold.

The first final match ended in a draw, which left everything open. X-Calibur then took control by winning the second match 11-8.

In the third final match, X-Calibur started strongly and led 7-3 after two series. Spader Dam then made a push in the third series and looked ready to extend the match, but X-Calibur finished with a strong late run.

Josefin Hermansson played a key role in the comeback, closing with seven straight strikes and helping X-Calibur secure the points needed to win the final before a fourth series was required.

Alida Molander was X-Calibur’s top scorer with 756 over three series and was led the team to the title.

For Spader Dam, the result ended a run of Swedish Championship titles. The team from Helsingborg, playing without one of its' key players, Nora Johansson, who is currently at the PWBA Tour, had to settle for silver.

Pergamon Turns Final Around Against Alingsås

In the men’s final, Team Pergamon won its 17th Swedish Championship gold after defeating Team Alingsås.

Alingsås, playing its first Swedish Championship final in club history, started strongly and won the opening final match. It was another step forward for a team that had reached several semifinals in previous seasons but had not played for gold before.

Pergamon responded in the second match, winning 13-7 to level the final.

The deciding match then belonged to the more experienced Partille team. Pergamon won 15-5 and secured the title, taking revenge for last year’s final loss against Team Clan.

Seventeen-year-old Erik Larsson played a major role in the deciding match. Despite making his first appearance in this type of playoff pressure, Larsson topped the individual standings with 932.

Mathias Ankerdal followed closely with 925, and together with Larsson formed the strongest pair of the deciding match.

For Alingsås, James Blomgren led the team with 914, while Emanuel Jonsson followed with 849.

Although Alingsås missed out on the gold, the silver medal still marked the club’s best result after years of semifinal exits.
