All three Women’s Elitserien matches over the weekend ended in away victories.
League leaders Spader Dam picked up two wins on their road trip to Nässjö and
Örebro, while AIK BK D dominated the Stockholm derby against BK Prime Sthlm.
Högland and Merci both showed early fight, but couldn't hold off stronger
opponents down the stretch.
Saturday Matches Overview
BK Högland – Spader Dam 3–17 (Nässjö Bowlinghall)
Despite a solid opening from Högland, Spader Dam stormed back to dominate the rest of the match. The home team took a narrow 3–2 lead after the first series thanks to a strong start and a +130 pin advantage. But from that point on, the league leaders from Skåne swept the remaining three series for a convincing 17–3 win.Sabina Asplund led all scorers with 894 for Högland, but Spader Dam’s strength in depth showed once again. Katrin Jansson (871), Anna Andersson (866), Felicia Jonsson (857), and Sandra de Neergaard (854) led a well-balanced effort as every player contributed to the sweep.
BK Prime Sthlm – AIK BK D 4–16 (Gullmarsplan, Stockholm)
The Stockholm derby went firmly in AIK’s favor from the very start. They jumped out to a 4–1 lead in the opening series and never looked back. By the third series, the match was already decided with a 12–3 lead, and they cruised to a final score of 16–4.Nicole Layrisse was unstoppable with 963, the highest score of the match, while Annie Kahlbom added 838. For Prime, Anna Staflund led with 835.
BK Merci – Spader Dam 7–13 (Strike Co, Örebro)
In their second match of the day, Spader Dam faced a much tougher challenge from BK Merci. The home team came out firing with a massive 1720 in the first series to take a 4–1 lead. But Spader Dam responded with a 4–1 win of their own in the second, followed by a narrow 3–2 in the third to edge ahead 8–7.
With the match still in balance, Spader Dam showed why they’re one of the
league’s top contenders by closing out the fourth series 5–0 for a final score
of 13–7. Nora Johansson led all scorers with an impressive 996, followed by
Anna Andersson with 897. Emma Mewén paced BK Merci with 833.
