Tom Hess won the 2026 PBA Senior U.S. Open on Sunday after winning four matches in the stepladder finals.
The victory gave his second title this season after his win on PBA 50 Petraglia Championship two weeks ago, his fifth senior major title, and his 13th career PBA50 Tour title. He also earned the $15,000 first-place prize.
Hess entered the stepladder as the No. 4 seed. He defeated Ricky Schissler 246-209 in the opening match, defending champion Andres Gomez 257-218 in the second match, and Tom Daugherty 258-214 in the semifinal.
That run sent Hess into the title match against Chris Barnes, who entered the finals as the top seed.
Hess started the championship match with a spare and then rolled four straight
strikes to take early control. Hess stayed ahead through the match and closed
out the win 249-197.
For the second place finish Barnes earned
$8,000.
Daugherty finished third and earned $6,000. Gomez placed fourth for $5,000, while Schissler finished fifth for $4,000.
