Bowling stars and Randy Pedersen’s friends gathered on Monday on a golf course to celebrate his life. In an update on the family’s GoFundMe page, Savannah thanked those who attended and said the gathering had helped to feel more at peace.
“Chad and I feel that much more at peace after being surrounded by so many
amazing people showering us with love," she said.
“We’ve had to navigate parts of this that no child should ever have to experience — let alone in the passing of their parent. It will take a long, long time for us to heal from this. But right now? The only feeling in our hearts is pure gratitude. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Pedersen's daughter also said the fundraiser would remain open through the evening of October 24. Anyone who wishes to contribute can do so here.
The message follows Savannah’s earlier thank-you to the bowling community, in which she spoke about the comfort the family had found in messages, memories and donations from around the world.
Randy, a 13-time PBA Tour champion and longtime television commentator, died in September at the age of 64.
