The PWBA Rochester Open started the PWBA Summer Series at ABC Gates Bowl, with 91 players battling across two six-game qualifying blocks for one of 16 places in the match-play.
Crystal Elliott led qualifying after two rounds Wednesday. Elliott finished with a 12-game total of 2,665 and earned the No. 1 seed for Thursday’s match-play bracket.
The rest of the match-play field includes Sydney Brummett, Peppi Konsteri, New Hui Fen, Alexis Runk, Birgit Noreiks, Diana Zavjalova, Sin Li Jane, Maria Jose Bohr, Nora Johansson, Bryanna Coté, Daphne Tan, Liz Johnson, Kayla Verstraete, Hope Gramly, and Stefanie Johnson.

The first two bracket rounds will use a best-of-five-game format. The semifinals and championship match will then move to single-game matches.
Match-play begins Thursday at 10 a.m. ET. The winners will move into the Round of 8 at 2 p.m. ET.
