The 2025 PWBA Anniversary Open got off to a strong start at The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with two qualifying rounds completed on Wednesday. Now, only 32 players remain in the field heading into Thursday's action.
Josie Barnes sits at the top of the standings with a 12-game total of 2,821, averaging 235. Barnes is chasing her second title of the season after winning the USBC Queens In May.
Close behind is Kayla Verstraete, with 2,786. Rounding out the top five are Lauren Russo (2,764), Canada’s Jade Côté (2,762), and Bailey Delrose (2,753).

Jillian Martin, the 2024 USBC Queens champion, is in sixth place with 2,750. England’s Verity Crawley (2,739), Olivia Farwell (2,737), Sweden’s Anna Andersson (2,727), and Kayla Pashina (2,715) complete the top 10.
Anna Andersson rolled the first 300 of the competition, followed by Alexis Runk and Jordan Snodgrass. The three perfect games at the PWBA Anniversary Open bring the season total to 20 - setting a new record for 300s in a single season since the tour’s relaunch in 2015.
Latvia's Diana Zavjalova (2,666) is in the 20th place, Poland's Daria Pająk (2,657) in 23rd, and Sweden's Nora Johansson (2,651) in the 27th, all three being in the cut after 12 games played.
Season's leader in points, Sinapore's New Hui Fen, finished in 42nd with 2,590.
All 32 remaining players will return today at 11 a.m. Eastern for the third round of qualifying.
After that, the field will be cut to the top 12 for the final qualifying round on Friday. The top five will then move on to the televised stepladder finals, which will air live on CBS Sports Network on Sunday at 7 p.m. Eastern.
