The PBA Norm Duke Open was suspended for the remainder of Thursday after a power outage at Lucky Strike Sinking Spring in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania.

According to the PBA official update, the outage was caused by a transformer issue affecting more than 100 businesses in the Sinking Spring area. Players had completed three games before competition was stopped.

After more than an hour without power, tournament officials decided that play would not resume Thursday. The remaining 64 players, 32 from each squad, will return Friday, June 19, at 9 a.m. ET.

The format has also been adjusted.

Scores from the three completed games on Thursday will count toward each player’s total pinfall. Players will continue Friday with a six-game round. After that, the top 16 players from each squad will advance to another four-game round later Friday, with the start time still to be determined.

The top four players from each squad after Friday’s 10 games will advance to Sunday’s televised stepladder finals.
