The first six games of qualifying are complete at the PBA Tournament of Champions , held at AMF Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn, Ohio, and two Canadians sit at the top of the leaderboard.
Mitch Hupé is first in the standings after the opening round with a 1,481 total over six games, averaging 246. Fellow Canadian Zach Wilkins follows in second with 1,450 (241 average), carrying momentum from his win at last Sunday’s PBA Roth/Holman Doubles Championship.
Hupé put together a consistent block with games of 203, 206, 262, 263, 267, and 280 to take the early lead. Wilkins stayed within reach throughout the round, highlighted by games of 279 and 287, keeping pressure on the leader.
PBA Players Championship winner Brandon Bonta currently holds third place with 1,426, followed by Finland’s Santtu Tahvanainen in fourth with 1,409. Tim Foy Jr. rounds out the top five with 1,401.
Kris Prather sits in sixth place with 1,400, just one pin behind Foy. Ronnie Russell follows in seventh with 1,394, while Nick Pate is eighth with 1,393.
BJ Moore holds ninth place with 1,388, and Andrew Anderson completes the current top 10 with 1,386.
The defending champion Jesper Svensson is currently in 63rd place with a total of 1,190.

Tournament Format
The format begins with 18 games of qualifying, split across three rounds on Wednesday and Thursday. After qualifying, the top 24 players move on to round-robin match play.
Match play continues on Friday, where players bowl additional games and earn bonus pins for wins. After a total of 42 games, the top five players advance to the stepladder finals.
The finals will be held on Sunday, April 26, and will be broadcast live on The CW at 4 p.m. ET.
