PWBA to Rename Columbus Open in Honor of Storm’s Barbara Chrisman

The PWBA has announced a new sponsorship agreement with Storm Bowling that will begin in the 2026 season.

As part of the deal, Storm will become the presenting sponsor of one PWBA Tour event each year, beginning 2026 season.

The 2026 PWBA Columbus Open, will be renamed the PWBA Barbara Chrisman Classic presented by Storm. The event is named in honor of Barbara Chrisman, owner of Storm Bowling. According to the announcement, the agreement also includes financial support that will go toward PWBA Tour prize funds.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 6, 2026, at HPL Bowling Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The 2026 PWBA season will begin earlier with the PWBA Bowlers Journal Rockford Open on April 29 in Rockford, Illinois.
