The PWBA PTQ has set the field for the 2026 Bowlers Journal Rockford Open.
A total of 51 players competed at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford, Illinois, with only the top 10 earning a spot in the main field of 75 players.
Shannon Payton led the PWBA PTQ with a six-game total of 1,360, averaging over 226 for the block. She was followed by Summer Jasmin (1,288), Suzuna Miyagi (1,257), and Morgan Kramer (1,235).
Seo Yeon Ryu, the first Korean to compete on the PWBA Tour, rounded out the top five with 1,228. The remaining five spots went to Gianna Brandolino (1,207), Brooke Roberts (1,204), Peppi Konsteri (1,204), Manon Ishida (1,202), and Megan Allensworth (1,196).
With the PWBA PTQ complete, the full field is now set for the first event of the 2026 PWBA season.
Competition continues on Friday with qualifying, where players will bowl two six-game blocks at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET. After 12 games, the field will be cut to the top third.
The remaining players will return on Saturday for another six-game block at 10 a.m. The field will then be reduced to the top 12 for the final qualifying round at 3 p.m.
The top five players after all qualifying rounds will advance to the stepladder finals at 7:30 p.m., where the first PWBA title of the 2026 season will be decided.
