24 Players Advance to PBA Tournament of Champions Match Play

Qualifying is complete at the PBA Tournament of Champions at AMF Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn, Ohio, with 24 players advancing to match play after 18 games.

Brandon Bonta continued his dominance and finished in first position with 4,260 pins. Kris Prather secured second place with 4,227, followed by Darren Tang in third with 4,178. Most recent PBA Tour champion Zach Wilkins took fourth with 4,162, while Santtu Tahvanainen rounded out the top five with 4,159.

Kyle Troup finished sixth with 4,155, Chris Via placed seventh with 4,130, and Andrew Anderson was eighth with 4,127. Tim Foy Jr. also reached 4,127 to take ninth, while Jason Belmonte completed the top 10 with 4,123.

BJ Moore, Mitch Hupé, Anthony Simonsen, Marshall Kent, Austin Grammar, Alex Horton, Kevin McCune, Matt Ogle, Patrick Dombrowski, EJ Tackett, Jake Peters, Ronnie Russell, and Sean Lavery-Spahr also advanced to match play.

Ethan Fiore claimed the final qualifying spot in 24th place with a total of 3,984. Just below him, Richie Teece finished 25th with 3,979, missing match play by five pins.

All 24 advancing players will now move on to round-robin match play. The first round of match play will be bowled later today, starting at 5 p.m. ET. Two additional match play rounds are scheduled for Friday.

The top five players after 42 total games will advance to the stepladder finals, set to air live Sunday on The CW .
