After Brandon Bonta’s historic performance at the season-opening PBA Players Championship last Sunday, the 2026 PBA Tour season moves quickly to its second stop.
The action now shifts for the PBA Pete Weber Missouri Classic, where players are looking to build early momentum and secure valuable points.
The road to the title began with the pre-tournament qualifier on Tuesday morning, where Zeke Bayt finished at the top of the standings.
A total of 66 players competed in the PTQ, bowling seven games on the Shark oil pattern. Only eight players advanced to the main field of the event.
Bayt led the field with 1,624 pins for a 232 average, finishing +224 over. Trey Brand secured second place with 1,608. Terrance Rock placed third with 1,584, followed closely by Petey Vergos in fourth with 1,582.
Austin Grammar completed the top five with 1,567 pins. Brad Miller, who had an amazing run at the PBA Players Championship, finished sixth with 1,565, tied in total pins with David Simard, who placed seventh. Nathan Ruest-Lajoie claimed the eighth and final advancing spot with 1,562 pins.
Ben Sobel and Jason Britain finished ninth and tenth with 1,544 and 1,533 respectively, but did not move on to the main field. Full standings can be found here.
With the PTQ completed, 90 players will begin the main event qualification tomorrow at 10 a.m. CST at Bowlero St. Peters in Missouri.
Competitors will bowl on the Weber 45-foot oil pattern. The main event
qualification consists of three rounds of six games, scheduled across
Wednesday and Thursday.
The stepladder finals of the PBA Pete Weber Missouri Classic are set for
Sunday at 3 p.m. CST on The CW.
Last year,
EJ Tackett took the title from the hands of Pete Weber himself, after
defeating Dom Barrett in the final.
