Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) is introducing BowlFolio, a new digital platform for Australian bowlers.

It comes as TBA moves away from TenpinResults, the system it has used for tournament results, entries and league scores since 2013. On 4 November, TenpinResults Australia said on social media that the two sides would not work together in 2027.

What BowlFolio Is

TBA introduced BowlFolio on 4 November as part of its 2027 registration announcement. TBA describes it as a platform that brings more of a bowler's journey together in one place.

At launch, BowlFolio has two areas. My Bowling is a personal profile for each registered bowler, while Events brings TBA tournament information into one place.

TBA says results, rankings, expanded event features and league and scoring information will be added as the platform develops.

The BowlFolio website shows live scores and official results, a list of earlier TBA events by year, league search and a bowler search.

How Bowlers Get Access

There is no separate sign-up. TBA says access is tied to player registration, which is done through PlayHQ, the online platform TBA has used for registration since 2025.

What Is TenpinResults

TenpinResults was introduced in 2013 by the IT provider Simpler Technology. For years it served as TBA's results portal and membership database. Tournament organisers used it to take online entries and payments, and bowlers used it to follow league scores and tournament results.

It was also used for IBF competitions, such as IBF Bowling World Cup in 2022, and IBF World Seniors Championships in 2025.

TenpinResults Australia said its mission was "always to service the bowling community." It said TBA paid a licence fee to use the platform from 2013 until the end of 2025.

In its latest social media post, TenpinResults said the decision not to work together was made some time ago.

“<...> we have all known for some time that we were not going to do 2027 together.”

TenpinResults also said it will continue its side pot offerings for events that are permitted to use them, and will run a variety of league options in 2027.

As for the new TBA product, BowlFolio, TenpinResults remained positive and encouraged players to use it.

“I’m not seeing how that’s a bad thing for the sport.”
