Team World completes the three-peat at the PBA USA vs. The World event, adding another chapter to what is quickly becoming a modern rivalry classic.

Jason Belmonte, Jesper Svensson, Graham Fach, Dom Barrett, and his son Colby - who delivered the final shot of the night - lifted the Hall of Fame Cup once again.

"Anytime you get an opportunity to roll the ball on TV with a bunch of guys that you respect and that you really enjoy spending time with is a blessing," Belmonte said after the win. "We're very lucky in what we were able to do. And then to be able to do it as well as we did today, honestly, an incredibly strong American team in a house that made it very clear who they were going for."

Competing far from home and in front of a clearly pro-USA crowd, Team World secured a 5-1 (912-957) victory on U.S. soil over EJ Tackett, Ethan Fiore, Andrew Anderson, and Anthony Simonsen to continue its dominant run in the event.

For the international squad, the win meant more than just another trophy. It was a small reward for all the time they spend away from their families. With Dom Barrett’s family in the crowd, the team made sure the moment became even more special by inviting his son Colby to throw the final shot.

"We love our families, we miss home so much, and, you know, Dominic's lucky this week to be able to have his family with him, so I'm glad they're able to enjoy this moment together," Belmo said.

Colby knocked down eight pins, sealing the final match at 244-232. Belmonte then turned to the camera with a smile and joked that next year Dom’s son might officially be part of Team World.

The 2026 edition of PBA USA vs. The World began with a singles showdown between captains EJ Tackett and Jason Belmonte, followed by a doubles match with teams selected by the captains. The final two contests were full-team Baker matches. Each match carried one point, with two additional points awarded for total pinfall across all four games, meaning every shot truly mattered.

Tackett vs. Belmonte

In a rematch of the captain’s showdown between two of the sport’s greats, EJ Tackett and Jason Belmonte both opened with strikes. However, Belmonte’s early split gave Tackett the advantage, and he capitalized on it. Using the new Motiv Venom Hysteria, Tackett did not miss a shot in the first half and built a 38-pin lead.

Belmonte stayed patient and continued striking with his Storm Viking. After an early mistake in the second frame, he responded with 10 consecutive strikes. That run forced Tackett to strike twice in the tenth frame to win. Tackett was unable to deliver, and Team World claimed the opening point with a 268-258 victory.

Doubles: Simonsen/Fiore vs. Svensson/Fach

The doubles match featured an all-left-handed lineup of Graham Fach and Jesper Svensson against the all-right-handed duo of Anthony Simonsen and Ethan Fiore. Unlike the high-scoring captain’s duel, this match turned into more of a battle for control.

All four players struggled to find a consistent look. Simonsen and Fiore managed to hold a narrow lead heading into the ninth frame, but Fiore left a 2-10 split and was unable to convert. Simonsen followed with two strikes and nine pins, leaving an opportunity for Team World to steal the point with three strikes in the tenth.

However, Fach was unable to deliver the needed strikes, and Team USA secured the equalizer with a 220-210 victory, tying the match at 1-1.

Team Baker Match #1

In the first Team Baker match, both sides came out strong. Each team opened with four strikes in the first five frames, and neither built a clear advantage before the commercial break.

After the break, Team World began to separate. They built a 20-pin lead heading into the foundation frame. Jason Belmonte delivered a strike, while Andrew Anderson left a 2-8-10 split and was unable to convert. That frame effectively decided the match, and Team World secured a 235-202 victory.

With that result, Team World carried a 33-pin advantage into the final match. Since two additional points were awarded for total pinfall across all four matches, the overall margin remained crucial heading into the last game.

Team Baker Match #2

The final match began with both teams opening with early strikes, knowing that everything was still at stake. Dom Barrett left a bucket in the fourth frame, briefly giving Team USA a chance to apply pressure. However, Anthony Simonsen followed with a pocket 7-9 split, which ended that opportunity. Team USA not only needed a win, but also a 34-pin margin to secure the total pinfall points.

Both teams returned to trading strikes until the eighth frame, when EJ Tackett left a 7 pin. Barrett answered with a strike, and from that moment Team World could not be caught - 232-244.

The focus now shifts to Sunday’s live stepladder finals of the PBA Ohio Classic.

Ryan Barnes will wait in the title match as the top seed, while EJ Tackett and Chris Via open the show.

The finals will air live on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET on The CW.
