Team USA won gold in both doubles and trios at the Pan American Women's Championship in Bogota, Colombia, and Maggie Thoma now leads the all-events standings with one event left.
The VI Pan American Women's Adult Championship is being held at the Bowling Industry center from September 29 to October 3, with bowlers from 12 nations. Breanna Clemmer of the United States won the opening singles event on Tuesday.
A Win by Seven Pins
Annalise O'Bryant and Katelyn Abigania won doubles gold on Wednesday with 2,615 9217.9 average0. O'Bryant bowled 1,336, including 253 and 255, and Abigania added 1,279.
The race for gold went to the last game. The Americans and Colombia's Maria Jose Rodriguez and Juliana Franco were tied at 2,173 after five games. The US pair shot 442 in the final game to Colombia's 435 and won by seven pins.
Rodriguez and Franco took silver with 2,608, Colombia's second medal of the week after Juliana Botero's bronze in singles. Elizabeth Teuber and Maggie Thoma won bronze for the US with 2,544. Thoma bowled 1,402, the best six-game set in doubles.
Canada's Jade Cote had the high game of the event, a 279, and finished fourth with Mei Yen-Lachapelle on 2,394, one pin ahead of Venezuela's Karen and Alicia Marcano. Twenty-nine pairs bowled in the event.

Trios: USA Take Gold and Silver
The United States went one and two in trios on Thursday. O'Bryant, Thoma and Abigania won gold with 4,015, a 223.1 average, and all three bowled over 1,300. Thoma led the team with 1,390.
The second US trio of Clemmer, Julia Bond and Teuber took silver with 3,780, 235 pins behind. Bond bowled 1,387, and Clemmer closed with 265, the high game of the event.
Colombia's Rodriguez, Franco and Juliana Botero won bronze with 3,607. The second Colombian trio of Sara Duque, Laura Plazas and Sara Giraldo finished fourth, 26 pins short of the podium.

Thoma Leads All-Events
Thoma has medals in all three events in her first international tournament for Team USA: silver in singles, bronze in doubles and gold in trios.
After 18 games, she leads the all-events standings with 4,092, averaging 227.3. Abigania is second with 3,840.
