The 43rd Malaysian International Open featured exciting international junior matches in Kuala Lumpur, where Sweden's and Malaysia's young talents made a strong impact.

In the boys' division, Sweden faced teams from Malaysia (Team A and B) and Hong Kong. All teams played each other twice in a baker format. The Swedish boys won four of their six group matches, which was enough to take them to the final.

In the final, Sweden met Malaysia A. The match was played over two games. Sweden started strong, edging out Malaysia 229–225 in the first game. They continued their good form early in the second game, building a lead of 20 pins. Malaysia fought back and made it a tight contest, but Sweden held on and secured the win with a final score of 404–384.

The Swedish boys team included Noel Haglund Torgersen, Ossian Kinnari, William Dahlsten, and Wilmer Kvarnström.

On the girls' side, the field was smaller due to team withdrawals from other countries. The competition featured Sweden, two Malaysian teams, and one local district team. Sweden won three of their six matches and finished third overall. The title in the girls' match went to Malaysia B.

The Swedish girls team consisted of Anelia Andersson, Elissa Mehmet, Saga Johansson, and Elin Bergqvist.

The international junior matches were a great showcase of young bowling talent and added excitement to the 43rd Malaysian International Open.
