The Norwegian Bowling Federation has officially announced the players who will represent the country in two major events this summer — the 2025 European Men’s Championships and the IBF Youth World Cup.
European Men’s Championships Team
The European Men’s Championships will take place in Aalborg, Denmark, from June 4 to 15. After an evaluation process, six players have been selected to represent Norway in June.
The selection was based not only on results but also to other factors, such as players’ commitment, training discipline, and professionalism. With limited resources and national camps or key tournaments, the coaching staff placed extra value on how players used digital tools and followed individual training plans. National Team Coach Ulf Hämnäs expressed confidence in the squad, saying the team has what it takes to compete at the highest level in Europe.
The EMC2025 lineup:
Jonas Dammen – Solør BK
Mathias Reinertsen – Trondheim BK
Øyvin Kulseng – Løkka BK
Jørgen Mathiesen – Solør BK
Gaute Skar-Hovde – Solør BK
Sander Kastås-Lindstad – Molde BK
Youth World Cup 2025
Norway will also send two young bowlers to the IBF Youth World Cup, which takes place June 15–22 in Helsingborg, Sweden.
The lineup:
Jenny Mathiesen - Solør BK (Girls’ division)
Mathias D. Otting - Molde BK (Boys’ division)
This selection follows a decision by the national sports board to include athletes from the SBN Elite Junior program. The decision was approved during a board meeting on April 5. National youth team coach Joakim Biehl will lead the athletes in their preparations.
