A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday night in Lewiston, Maine, where at least 22 people lost their lives in separate shooting incidents at a bowling alley and a restourant.
Lewiston, situated approximately 35 miles to the north of Portland, is the state's second-largest city.
Multiple law enforcement sources report that an additional 50 to 60 people sustained injuries.
Currently, an intensive manhunt is ongoing to locate the suspect who remains at large. Police are currently asking residents to shelter in place.
