The Canadian Tenpin Federation confirmed the new eight-game record, replacing the 1,722 set by Jane Amlinger/Vetero at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Cote improved that mark by 93 pins.

She averaged 226.88 across games of 228, 191, 267, 221, 198, 256, 244 and 210.

A Record and a Silver Medal

Naylor added 1,643, including a high game of 266, to give the Canadian pair a combined 3,458.

Canada finished 75 pins behind Team USA’s Jordan Snodgrass and Crystal Elliott, who won gold with 3,533. Aruba’s Kamilah and Abigail Dammers took bronze with 3,330.
