Sweden's Jesper Svensson won all 11 of his matches in a session that ran well past the midnight and topped Group B, Pool 4 of the men's singles at the 2026 IBF World Cup at Max Munich Bowling in Brunnthal, Germany.
Peru's Adrian Tokashiki won Pool 3. Australia's Jackson Buckingham and Hong
Kong's Keith Mark finished second and also qualified for the singles Top 32,
which completes the Group B qualifiers.
Pool 4: Svensson Perfect in a Late Session
Pools 3 and 4 were scheduled to start at 20:10 on Wednesday, but the delays on the opening day meant bowlers did not start until 22:30.
Even though bowlers finished their last match at around 2 AM, it was nothing
for Jesper Svensson, who went 11W, 0L for the maximum 33 points.
The Ice Man averaged 218.4 for 2,402 pins, the highest pinfall in
Group B, with games of 269, 246 and 245. He closed with a 203-146 win over
Kazakhstan's Kaisar Satabaldiyev.
"Very special to play from 22:30 to 02:15. But our focus was only on the game and staying in the process the whole way. Jesper is very professional and accepted the situation," Swedish national team captain Robert Andersson told the Swedish Bowling Federation.
Keith Mark finished second with a 9W, 2L record, 27 points and a 204.6 average. Türkiye's Ilyas Atifi was third with 24 points.
Pool 3: Buckingham Wins Three-Way Roll-Off
Adrian Tokashiki won Pool 3 with 27 points and a 9W, 2L record. He averaged 208.8 and won the last five matches.
Pool 3 had 11 bowlers, so each player had a bye in one round. The bye counts as a win, and it is included in the records.
Three bowlers finished on 24 points with 8W, 3L: Buckingham, the Netherlands' Brent de Ruiter and France's Valentin Saulnier. Buckingham won his final pool match and then shot 230 in a three-way roll-off to take the second spot. He averaged 209.8.
Saulnier had the best average in the pool, 217.4, and the highest game of the night, a 289, but finished fourth.
