Women’s Competition: Malaysia Dominates
In the women’s division, Malaysia delivered a commanding performance, finishing the day undefeated with 21 points from seven matches. The team’s cohesion and skill shone through, particularly with Natasha Roslan leading the charge fresh off her Singles gold medal win. China and the United States also had strong showings, tying with 18 points each. Both teams demonstrated their depth and adaptability across challenging matches.
The competition was fierce among the middle-ranked teams, with the Philippines and Singapore earning 15 and 12 points, respectively, to stay in contention. Teams like Sweden and Denmark also showed flashes of brilliance, keeping the race for quarterfinal spots wide open.
Looking Ahead
As the group stage continues tomorrow, the stakes will rise even higher. For the men, an additional round of 16 will determine which eight teams advance to the quarterfinals, while the top eight women’s teams will secure their spots directly.
