The prestigious IBF World Cup 2026 is officially scheduled to take place from October 12 to October 21, 2026, at the Max Munich Bowling center in Brunnthal, near Munich, as confirmed by officials from the Deutsche Bowling Union (DBU) and the International Bowling Federation (IBF).

The presidium of the Deutsche Bowling Union recently finalized and signed the necessary agreements with the IBF to host the global tournament in Germany.

"This is a great opportunity. We already know that we can be hosts through the football championships. Now it's a matter of bringing bowling as a sport more into the outside world," DBU officials stated.

Due to the scheduling of the IBF World Cup, the European Championships of Champions (ECC), initially planned for October 20–27, 2026, will be postponed. Updates on the rescheduled dates for the ECC are expected to be announced soon.

The 2025 IBF World Cup is set to take place in Hong Kong, hosted at the newly constructed Top Bowl within the Kai Tak Sports Park. The tournament will run from January 5 to January 14, 2025, with the finals taking center stage in the park's Stadium.
