Europe’s national bowling champions are heading to Ankara, Turkey, for the European Championship of Champions 2026.
Competition takes place at Rollhouse Bilkent from Wednesday, 30 September, to Saturday, 3 October, with men’s, women’s and mixed doubles titles on the programme.
Official practice and the opening ceremony are scheduled for Tuesday, before the first eight-game qualifying blocks begin on Wednesday. The participating federations can be found on the official participants page.
“May this championship be filled with remarkable performances, fair play, and unforgettable moments,” said Dr. E. Özgür Bayazıtlı, President of the Turkish Bocce Bowling Dart Federation, in his welcome message.
How the competition works
Each bowler plays 24 qualifying games across three days. Thursday’s eight games also decide the mixed doubles competition, with the two teammates’ scores added together. Those individual scores count towards the men’s and women’s qualifying standings as well.
The top 12 men and top 12 women return on Saturday for another eight games. The programme then moves to the semifinals and finals, both played as best-of-three matches, to decide the individual champions.
