Ireland's Christopher Sloan has won the H. H. Amir Cup 2024, at the Qatar International Bowling Center in Doha.
In a thrilling final match, Sloan emerged victorious over Canada’s Nathan Ruest-Lajoie, edging out a narrow 204–202 win.
With this triumph, Sloan secured the grand prize of $25,000.
The qualification round featured three sets of three games, with the combined nine-game total determining the top 28 players who advanced to the final stages. Sloan initially placed 12th with 2,161 pins (an average of 240.1) but made significant strides in Final Step 1, finishing in 7th position. During Final Step 2, which determined the five finalists, Sloan excelled, claiming the top seed with an impressive 1,883 pins (an average of 235.38).
The event boasted a total prize fund of $110,000.
