Adam Haxa became the first champion in PBA France history after winning the inaugural PBA France Starbowl Open.
The Czech bowler won all three of his final matches, defeating Germany’s Daniel Friesch and France’s Ethan Boillot and Valentin Saulnier on his way to the title.
Haxa entered the final stage as the No. 3 qualifier after averaging 213.72 over 18 games. Valentin Saulnier led the standings with a 225.32 average, while Ethan Boillot was second with 219.28.
Players competed on two different oil patterns during the tournament, the PBA Wolf and the PBA Bear, while the roll-off was played on a dual pattern.
Haxa opened the finals with a 230-224 win over Friesch. In the next round, he defeated Boillot 233-188 to reach the championship match.
The final was played against Saulnier, who had led the tournament standings before the finals. Haxa won the title match 183-181.

The second PBA France tournament is scheduled for November 24-30.
The event will include the Masters Finals and will continue the first season of PBA France competition.
